On Thursday, February 17, 2022, a special lecture was held for doctors and nurses from the three central hospitals(Mithaparp Hospital, Setthathirat Hospital, and Mahosot Hospital) covered by the SAFER project . The lecture was on Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the lecturers were doctors and nurses from Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
In the lecture, they shared the current status of EMS in Thailand for COVID-19 disasters, and many questions were raised from the Laotian side, resulting in a lively exchange of opinions and a fruitful time for all three parties: Thailand, Laos, and Japan.
At the same time, we reaffirmed that triangular cooperation between Thailand, Laos, and Japan will continue to be effective. The geographical proximity between Khon Kaen, Thailand and Vientiane, the capital of Laos, makes it possible to speak each other’s native language, which is also a very important factor to promote triangular cooperation.
*Khon Kaen University is our partner university.
