In Laos, there are few addresses that pinpoint a location, so to tell such a location, you need to do so based on some landmark, such as the name of a village/street, village hall, hospital, school, or a specific building.
(In urban areas, detailed location numbers are now assigned, but they are still not numerous.)
Command and Control Centre dispatchers who receive emergency calls need to know the location as accurately as possible in order to dispatch an ambulance.
In order to facilitate the location of unfamiliar places, we have prepared a list of locations (longitude and latitude) of village halls, hospitals, schools, and other landmarks in each village, which are used in conjunction with a map site to immediately determine the location.
