In-person training by Japanese experts was held for CCC MDs, dispatchers, and rescue members

In-person training by Japanese experts was held for CCC MDs, dispatchers, and rescue members(2022年08月15日)

In early August, two types of training programs were conducted by Japanese experts.

(1) Dates: August 1-4

Target: 7 MDs and 20 dispatchers of the Lao CCC

Instructor: Specialist Ishizaki

For this training, the first standard textbook in Laos approved by the Ministry of Health and Mithapaip Hospital was developed. Although common to both (2), this text is the first government-approved text for pre-hospital care and dispatch command in Laos, as there is no government-approved text for them in Laos.

Dispatchers are appointed from rescue teams, but rescue teams are made up of young people such as students, who are not accustomed to using computers, and it may take time for them to get used to typing and operating computers, etc. However, we have devised a way to make the training fun by including mini games.

In addition, since power outages occur frequently in Laos, training was conducted to simulate various situations, such as during a power outage.

(2) Dates: August 8-12

Target: 115 participants from 5 rescue teams (1623, 1625, 1625, 1628, 1630)

Instructors: Specialist Takayama, Specialist Fujimoto

The training focused on practical skills for one rescue per day. It was a very good opportunity to confirm the level of rescue procedures and to improve quality.

During the training, when a dispatch call came in, we also rode in the ambulance and provided feedback on the procedures.

*As mentioned above, the training used the first government-approved textbook in Laos developed by the project.

Regular in-person training sessions are scheduled in the future.
