This system was established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in April 2008 to promote the mutual sharing of roles and cooperation between medical institutions, so that “initial treatment is provided by local clinics and medical offices (family doctors), while advanced and specialized treatment is provided by hospitals.
Based on these objectives, as of April 1, 2008, as a hospital with specified functions, we require patients to pay a fixed amount of money at the time of their first or second visit without a letter of referral from a local doctor’s office or clinic (family doctor).
Our hospital collects the following fees separately for “patient’s choice” medical care at the time of initial and reexamination. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Item | Fee (Tax Included) |

In the following cases, there is no need to pay the extra fees listed above.
This hospital utilizes an online eligibility verification system.
The online eligibility verification system allows patients to check their medical insurance eligibility online using their Individual Number Card (My Number card) at the counter of medical institutions.
As a card reader with facial recognition for the Individual Number Card (My Number card) is available, your My Number card can also be used as a health insurance card (Maina hoken-shou / My Number Insurance Card).
In addition, when consent is obtained using a card reader with facial recognition, drug information, specific health checkup information, and other medical information for medical treatment can be used and easily shared using the My Number card.
〈Notes〉
*Certificates subject to online eligibility verification are systems managed by insurers, such as health insurance cards, national health insurance cards, and late-stage medical insurance cards for the elderly. Cards associated with publicly funded or local independent programs administered by local governments are not covered at this time.
Payment of medical fees can be made with the following accepted forms of payment. For hospitalization expenses in particular, we recommend payment by credit card to prevent the risk of loss or theft.
