In 2012, Office for the Promotion of International Medical Affairs (currently known as International Medical Center) at University of Tsukuba Hospital was established. This Office provides support on receiving personnel from overseas, including instructors, researchers, and trainee clinicians, on dispatching hospital professionals to overseas, on how to receive non-Japanese patients, and on support for coordination with medical institutions overseas.
